Discounts for low-income individuals

The Bochum Pass is a free card for low-income residents. It provides discounts on many cultural, educational, recreational, and sports activities.

Who is eligible for the Bochum Pass?

Anyone who lives in Bochum and receives one of the following benefits is eligible:

  • Basic Income

  • Basic income support

  • Welfare

  • Housing allowance

  • Benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act

What are the benefits of the Bochum Pass?

With the pass, you get, for example:

  • Reduced admission to museums, swimming pools, and other recreational facilities

  • Discounted courses offered by educational institutions

  • 50% discount on the dog license fee for one dog

How does the pass work?

The pass is available digitally as a QR code. It can also be printed out. If needed, the Social Services Office in the Husemann Karree can assist you.

Important:

  • The passport is only valid when accompanied by a valid ID.

  • It remains in effect as long as the eligible person receives one of the specified benefits.

  • The pass is issued to a specific individual and may not be transferred to anyone else.
