"Swim with us!" - Learn to swim in Bochum
As part of “Come Swim!” The City of Bochum, in cooperation with Bochum schools, the DLRG, Bochum swimming clubs, Wasserwelten Bochum GmbH, and representatives of Bochum’s local government, is carrying out various initiatives and activities to improve children’s swimming skills. These are exclusively swimming programs implemented in collaboration with various institutions. Registration for these swimming programs is handled through the respective institutions.
Numerous swimming clubs in Bochum, as well as private companies, offer a wide range of swimming lessons and courses for children and adults throughout the year. These programs can be booked directly through the individual providers.

Additional swimming lessons for children as part of the “NRW Can Swim!” program
In 2008, the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia launched the “NRW Can Swim” program. This program offers students in grades 3 through 6 who cannot swim the opportunity to participate in two-week swimming courses during the Easter, summer, and fall breaks.
