School Transportation Costs: When Reimbursement Is Possible

In certain cases, students may be reimbursed for their travel expenses. This applies in particular to cases where the requested Deutschlandticket was issued too late. The maximum reimbursement amount is 100 euros per month.

In addition, the following applies to students in district-level specialized classes: If their monthly transportation costs exceed the 50-euro co-payment, up to 50 euros will be covered.

If the application is rejected (red box), the person receives a negative decision; the application is forwarded to Bogestra without a discount. If the application is approved (green box), the person receives a notice of approval; the application is also forwarded to Bogestra for further processing.
