What is ElternChanceN?

The ESF Plus program “ElternChanceN” supports families in special circumstances by providing free educational and counseling services. The program’s goal is to empower parents and ensure that children have equal opportunities for education and development.

What is offered?

• Parent-child activities such as parent cafés, informational events, and playgroups

• Counseling and support from qualified parent coaches

• Support for the Transition from Daycare to Grundschule

• Information on educational pathways, financial aid options, and local support services

Who's behind it?

The Bochum Youth Welfare Office and the Family Education Center collaborate with daycare centers, schools, family centers, and other partners. Together, they are building a strong network for families.

The program is aimed at all families—especially:

• Single parents

• Low-income families

• Families with a background of migration or displacement

• Families Going Through a Separation
