Home schooling

A prolonged absence from school due to illness on the part of a child of school age may make it impossible for the child to attend school regularly.

If school-age children are ill for more than six weeks at a time, guardians have the option of applying for home schooling as an alternative to attending school. Home instruction is then provided by contracted teachers—provided that the students in question are able to participate given their health condition and that the teachers’ health is not put at risk as a result.

The same applies to pregnant students six weeks before and eight weeks after giving birth.
